Jaylon and Johnnie Gordon are two young actors with unmistakable charm and charisma. I had the privilege of working with them in The Good Book movie and found them to be delightful. They have a long list of credits and are constantly working on new projects. Keep your eye on them because they’re definitely going places.

When did you first develop an interest in acting?

At the age of three, Johnnie told his mom, “I want to be a model man” he then told his dad, “I want to be IN the TV, like Zack & Cody!”  Jaylon was asked to audition during Johnnie’s casting call.

What was your first acting role? 

Jaylon filmed his first commercial Light in the Night at the age of four (two weeks after signing with The People Store). Johnnie’s first acting role was a commercial for Georgia Natural Gas.


What was your first film role?

Jaylon landed a lead role in his first film, where he played Younger Clyde, in A Product of Me, currently in post-production. Johnnie also landed a lead role in his first film, where he played Younger Jabba, in A Product of Me.


What faith-based films have you been involved in?

Johnnie and Jaylon worked on two other faith based films, The Tree Widow, where they play the sons of Missy and Jamal (the main characters). The Tree Widow, wrapped filming in August and is currently in post production. They’re also contracted to make an appearance in the feature film, Church Hurt, scheduled to begin filming December 2013.


What do you like best about acting in films?

What Jaylon and Johnnie like most about acting is the finished product, being able to see their character come to life on screen.

What would be your dream acting role?

Jaylon’s dream role, is acting alongside of Denzel Washington, a nick name his acting abilities earned him, while filming, A Product of Me.


Any upcoming projects? 

Johnnie and Jaylon recently wrapped filming for the feature film A Christmas Blessing, which is scheduled to air on TVOne, Dec. 7th at 8pm
