When I received my copy of Blue Eyes Like Janey’s, I knew it was related to abortion, but that’s all I really knew. I had no idea what to expect and was totally unprepared for the powerfulness of the short video. I watched it once and cried. I immediately watched it again and cried again. I honestly don’t see how anyone could watch this and not be impacted.

Blue Eyes Like Janey’s is a short film in a music video format where the songwriter shares his personal story. I live in Nashville. I’m married to a musician. I know good songwriting and good vocals, and this video has both. Bobby Rennert is the writer and the song is performed by David W. Huff. The song is beautiful and haunting and I know I’ll be singing the lyrics for days to come. Misty Lockheart and Travis Kauppila star as a young couple in love but confused by all that’s going on in their lives. They each did a remarkable job of portraying the range of emotions required. As I watched them suffering, my heart broke for them.

Purety Productions, the company that created Blue Eyes Like Janey’s is working to make a difference by sharing this video with audiences that might have to make a similar “choice”. It’s been widely received, and, in fact,  lives have been saved as a result of the video. To learn more about the project and to order your own copy, visit the website
