Next month we begin filming Summer of ’67. To prepare for that time, we held a training workshop for cast and crew today. What a great time we had with fifty of our actors in attendance, participating in hands on character development activities and panel discussions.

We kicked off the event with a meet and mingle time where actors were invited to wear period accessories to help get into character.

I then shared with the actors our vision for the movie and the importance of each and every actor in bringing to life our story.

Rob Wilds offered words of wisdom from his years of experience in the industry. He pointed out the importance of being in character even if you’re in the far back of the picture.

Actor Don Day provided a first hand account of the USS Forrestal fire and what it was like to be a young man fighting in the Vietnam War.

Actress A. Michelle Harleston talked about her experience in the military and answered questions from actors.

The day concluded with a 60’s inspired lunch of sloppy joes.

We’ve got an amazing cast and crew, and I can’t wait until we all get on set and bring to life the story of the Summer of ’67.
