If you’ve visited my website over the past week or so, you’ve probably noticed changes. It’s gone from a blog with a little about me as a speaker, to a speaker website with a blog.  You’ll be happy to know, though, the content is still here, just packaged a little differently.

We’re coming on the six year anniversary of Faith Flix, and in those six years, I’ve shared more than 500 posts. With that many articles, it often made it hard to find what you were looking for. But no more. Now you can search by category. Want to read interviews with actors? Click on the “Actors” icon. Searching for book reviews or movie reviews? Find the image and click. I’ll soon be adding new categories as well, so be watching for those.

I’ve recently taken on a new title. Rather than spending my days making movies, my new focus is women’s ministry. I’ve taken over as women’s ministry leader at our church and that will be reflected in my blog posts. Oh, I’ll still be interviewing film folks, covering film events, and doing reviews, but you’ll see more female focused articles and more personal reflections.

My passion right now is speaking. It’s a dream I’ve had my entire life. Long before I ever gave thought to making movies, I was a speaker. But it kept getting put on hold. God kept telling me to wait. Well, now He’s given me the go ahead, and I couldn’t be more excited about it. I’ve been speaking at film festivals and writer’s conferences for several years, and I’ll still be doing that. But, now, I’m also speaking to community, churches, and women’s groups, sharing my film stories and using them to inspire, encourage, and uplift general audiences.

I would absolutely LOVE to come to your church or organization in the coming days. You can visit my SPEAKER PAGE to see possible presentations including REELS AND HEELS, shoe themed presentations related to films. Then just go to Book Sharon and we’ll make it happen.

Let me know what you think of the new look. I look forward to hearing from you.
