Finding Lady Enderly – Book Review

I have a new favorite author. I love historical fiction but generally limit myself to American fiction. But I was looking for something to new to read, and Finding Lady Enderly looked interesting, so I took a chance. I am so glad I did.

Finding Lady Enderly is unlike any other book I’ve read. It feels like classic literature, like you’re discovering a treasure that’s been tucked away for all these years and just now discovered and released.

It’s chock full of characters, and it takes awhile to figure them all out, but keep reading, and you slowly begin to understand them But don’t get too sure of yourself. Just when you think you’ve figured someone out, a plot twist pops up, and you realize you don’t know as much as you thought you did.

The story can get pretty dark at times, and I’ve got to admit, there were times I was seriously worried for the characters. I got so caught up in life at the mansion, I had to remind myself it was just a make believe story.

Then the end… Just when I’d about decided there was no possible way to tie everything all up, another plot twist, leaving me feeling oh, so satisfied.

If you’re looking for a book that is packed with layers, highs and lows, danger lurking around every corner, you’ve got to read Finding Lady Enderly. And as icing on the cake, the entire story is held together by a beautiful spiritual truth.

I can’t wait to go get Joanna’s other books. You will, too, I promise.
