It seems right now I am surrounded by women going through overwhelming situations. When I talk to them, I feel their desperation. They’re drowning and struggling to stay afloat. They need hope, something to remind them that they’re not alone. God hasn’t forgotten them. He still loves them and is with them during these days of trials.

Words of Hope for Women is a compact book for any woman who is in the midst of difficult times and needs words of encouragement and hope to make it through. It features ninety daily devotions, each with a message of hope.

My first thought as I thumbed through the book was how short the lessons are. There are no personal stories, questions to ponder, written prayers or lined spaces for journaling like you find in so many devotional books. No, each day’s lesson is just a scripture verse and two to three paragraphs discussing or explaining the scripture. As I began reading the lessons, though, it made sense.

Women who are going through difficult times and looking for words of hope, don’t always have time for indepth reading. They may not care about someone else’s stories, and they don’t have the brain capacity to answer thought provoking questions. All they need is hope. And this book provides that. A woman can grab the book, skim over the verse and lesson, and find the hope they need to make it through the rest of the day.

Words of Hope for Women would make a great gift for a woman in your life. It would also be good as a gift for all the women in your church or ministry group. With a retail price at $4.99, you can afford to give them generously.
