I am so excited to share about a brand new women’s conference that we’re hosting at our church this fall. As many of you know, I took over as Women’s Ministry Director at our church last year and have had a fabulous time working with the women of our church. It’s caused me to realize something about myself. I love planning events, especially events that involve spiritual depth.

Last summer we had our first prayer retreat, and it was amazing. I’d never even attended a prayer retreat, much less planned one, but that’s what I felt God calling me to do, so that’s what we did. And it was just what we needed.

Then I felt God calling me to do a women’s conference. Originally, I was thinking something simple for the women of our church. But when I approached our new pastor, he encouraged me to dream bigger. I love to dream bigger! So I did. And then as I talked with the leadership team, they encouraged me to dream even bigger, so I did.

The result of all of our dreaming and praying is Women of Focus, a conference for several hundred women of Middle Tennessee and beyond.

We’re blessed to have as our opening keynote speaker Nancy Stafford. Most of you will be familiar with her as a Hollywood actress famous for her role as Michelle Thomas in Matlock as well as starring and guest starring roles in dozens of television series and Christian movies. What you may not realize is that she’s also an author and a pastor’s wife.

Kim Aldrich

Our closing keynote speaker is Nashville author Kim Aldrich. She’s the author of DiscipleSips: Leaving a Jesus Legacy One Latte at a Time and co-author of The Pastor Driven Wife: Stories of God’s Faithfulness from the Mundane to the Miraculous.

Music artist Nicole Coley will be leading our worship. Not only does she have a beautiful voice, but she has a heart for the Lord.

Women of Focus takes place September 25-26, 2020. We kick off the event with a prayer walk on Friday then spend Saturday with keynote sessions, worship, breakouts, panels, prayer, and food. Our theme for 2020 is FEARLESS so there will be lots of talk about what that looks like in our lives and how to overcome the fear that so often paralyzes us.

Registration opens February 1, and early bird price is only $25. You’ll want to sign up and bring a dozen or so of your favorite girlfriends. While you’re waiting to register, you can go ahead and “like” the Facebook page and “follow” us on Twitter so you can keep up with all the exciting happenings as we count down to September 25.
