In February 2013 Fred and I attended the National Religious Broadcasters Convention. A whole new world was opened up to me the moment I entered the Gaylord Opryland Resort and joined the ranks of thousands of folks in the Christian entertainment industry, I was hooked. I immediately went home and launched the Faith Flix blog with the intent to provide a behind the scenes look at faith-based films and the people behind them.
Over the years I’ve interviewed close to 300 filmmakers, actors, screenwriters, composers, editors, and other filmmaker folks. I’ve reviewed dozens of movies and introduced my followers to films they might not otherwise have ever known about. And, of course, I took everyone along for the ride as we produced our own movies.
I’ve been blessed by Faith Flix, but we’re no longer in the movie business, and there’s no need to hold on to the Faith Flix name. We’ve been approached through the years by people wanting to buy the domain, but either we weren’t ready to give it up yet or they never followed through. But this week we were approached by a pastor in the Netherlands who has been praying for the domain to use for his ministry. So on Monday, the Faith Flix name will pass on to him.
But don’t despair! The content will remain. I’m not getting rid of the blog. It will just not be called Faith Flix anymore. From now on, it’s just my Sharon Wilharm blog.
If you’ve been following my blog, you know that my passion right now is podcasting. I have fallen in love with the podcasting world and am so excited about All God’s Women, my podcast that works my way through the Bible, one woman at a time. If you’ve not already, I encourage you to check it out. All God’s Women is available wherever you listen to podcasts, or you can listen to it right here on my website.
