30 Days to Understand the Bible – Book Review

I remember many years ago when I was a teen, our church hosted a Walk Thru the Bible event. What fun we all had learning together mnemonic devices and other tricks to help us work our way through the books of the Bible and remember what they were about.

30 Days to Understanding the Bible reminds me of that experience. I guess it only makes sense, since the author, Max Anders, was one of the original Walk Thru the Bible team members. Now Max Anders takes the event experience and packs it into an easy to read paperback book.

30 Days to Understanding the Bible is broken into seven sections. The first two cover the Old Testament and the New Testament, breaking down the structure of the books and showing how they all fit together. Section three explains the various doctrines of the Bible. The remaining sections summarize the Bible and offer help to those teaching the Bible.

The book is very visual, filled with illustrations and diagrams. It also includes self-tests to promote memory and make sure you’ve mastered the material covered.

If you’re looking for a way to study the Bible and understand it a little better, this is the book for you. It’s an easy read that you can quickly work through in just minutes a day.

I have an extra copy to give away to one lucky reader. Just comment below your favorite book of the Bible. A winner will be chosen at random on Friday, January 18.

    1. I agree. I thought it was so funny how I kept thinking how much it reminded me of Walk Thru the Bible, but it wasn’t until I was writing the review that I realized the connection.

  3. My favorite book of the Bible is Acts because it is action-packed and inspires believers in our time to be bold in sharing their faith.
