Keith Thibodeaux (Richard Keith) – Little Ricky, Johnny Paul Jason, and David and the Giants

My favorite thing about Faith Flix is being introduced to folks I'd never meet otherwise. so I was pretty excited last month  when I got a message from Michael Warren, an actor from our movie The Good Book, asking if I knew the band David and the Giants? Of course! They were one of my…

Christian Casting – With Founder Laura Mae

My friend Jenn Gotzon introduced me to Laura Mae when we were casting for Summer of '67. We'd already cast all our speaking roles, but Laura Mae brought us quality actors from AMTC to fill some of our featured extra roles. She immediately impressed me with her professionalism and efficiency and that each of her…

Cynthia D. Perry – Actress

One of my favorite things about watching movies is discovering new actors. When reviewing Mattie: The Discovery, I already knew B.J. and Cameron Arnett as well as Breanna Hope Beaton, and they all did a great job, as I knew they would. But my favorite character in the movie was Betty Jean, and so I…

I don't know about you, but I love learning behind the scenes stories about films and the people who make them. That's why I started Faith Flix. So I love when I'm contacted by filmmakers and actors with interesting stories to tell. Adam Thayer is one of those people. This interview barely scratches the surface,…

Karen Abercrombie – Actress, Writer, Director

In February 2015 we had the opportunity to watch an early screener of War Room  with Alex and Stephen Kendrick. From the moment Karen Abercrombie entered the screen as Mrs. Clara, I was a fan. She was so feisty and fun and she expressed her faith in such an authentic way. Since then, I've followed…

Jefferson Moore – Actor, Writer, Director, Producer

In 2013 I interviewed Jefferson Moore and talked about his movie “Pieces of Easter”. It continues to be my most popular blog article ever, especially around Easter.

What led to your interest in filmmaking?

Several years of working in FRONT of the camera, mainly…seeing the process of how a script on a sheet of paper made its way to a big screen, and all that happened in between, fascinated me.

Have you had any acting or filmmaking training?

None. Zero. Nada on the formal training…I learned acting from watching Sylvester Stallone movies and filmmaking from Robert Rodriguez’ ’10 Minute Film School’.

How does your faith impact your films?

I guess the short answer is it keeps me from including things like curse words and graphic sex in my scripts – part of a greater charge I have in…

Cameron Arnett – Actor, Filmmaker, TV Host

We first met Cameron Arnett at the Kingdomwood Film Festival in  2015. Since then I'm pretty sure he's been at every film event we've been to, not to mention the many more he attends that we don't go to. He's a popular instructor sharing words of wisdom for filmmakers and actors alike. He's also the…
