Hi! I’m so glad you stopped by today. If you’re looking for in-depth, analytical reviews of blockbuster movies, I’m afraid you’re in the wrong place. But, if you appreciate a good movie or television show, but have a hard time finding ones that you like, ones that make you feel good inside, that make you laugh, or cry, or maybe both at the same time, well, I’m here to help. The critics may scoff at what they call “chick flicks”, but we know that chick flicks have value, and I’m going to help direct you to some wonderful feel-good, female-driven, faith-based, and family films.

I’m Sharon Wilharm, female filmmaker, blogger, and speaker. I never intended to be a filmmaker. Growing up, I was much more interested in books than movies. Then I married a businessman with a degree in broadcast communications, and before I knew what was happening, I was writing, directing, and starring in a feature film.

I’ve spent the past decade in the film industry, writing and directing. In the process I’ve watched hundreds of movies and television shows, studying each one, learning from them all, and I’ve spent the past year or so passing on the baton and teaching fellow filmmakers how to add beauty to their films.

I’ve watched as the industry has transitioned from a male dominated world, to a balance of male and female, but despite the influx of women in film, I’ve found it’s still hard to find films for female audiences. So that’s my goal with this blog, to bring to light movies and tv shows that appeal to women. I’m excited to be able to talk about sappy movies, silly shows, movies that make me laugh and then cry. Thank you for joining me on this cinematic journey!
