Hi! Welcome to my website. I’m Sharon Wilharm, a storyteller striving to impact lives through my films, my blog, and my speaking.

Growing up, I loved reading, writing, and drama. I dreamed of writing books and entertaining crowds of people. I thought I might go into ministry, be a missionary, a children’s minister, or a pastor’s wife. But God had other plans. He paired me up with a communications major who wanted to make movies, and a decade after saying “I do”, we combined our unique talents and produced our first Mainstreet Productions feature film. Since then, we’ve gone on to make six more movies.

Our motion pictures have screened in theaters across the country, aired on countless television networks and sold across the globe.  Our filmmaking efforts have been recognized with dozens of accolades including the “Shibboleth Award for Visionary Leadership in the Field of Christian Film Making” and four ICVM Crown Awards including Silver “Best Picture”. At some point, I realized that movies had become my ministry. My movies have gone places I’ll never go, reached people I’ll never meet, and impacted lives in ways I’d never know.

I’m thankful for the experiences we’ve had making movies and sharing them with audiences, but now we’re winding up our filmmaking and moving on to the next phase of our lives. After years of living and breathing movies, I’m excited to now return to my roots.  I’m passing on the baton to the next generation of filmmakers and creatives, and I’m devoting my time to novel writing, blogging, and speaking.

We spent 2018 traveling around the country as part of our movie tour, and in addition to teaching filmmaking at film events, I began taking my film experience and using it to help novelists and other writers. I also had the opportunity to share my film stories at church and community events.  I look forward to more speaking engagements in the coming year.

If you’re an event planner looking for a speaker at your next film, writing, church, or community event, drop me a line! I’d love to entertain, inspire, and educate your audience!
