We made the decision to release the Summer of ’67 movie trailer on Facebook at midnight on New Year’s Eve. We thought it would be a fun way to promote it, but had no idea whether it would work or not. Would people take time away from their parties to stop and watch a trailer? Would people stay up long enough to see it? Once people saw it, would they like it? Honestly, as a filmmaker you never know how people will respond. All you can do is throw it out there and see if it sticks. Well, I’m happy to say, it stuck!
In four days, it’s garnered 28,000 views, 240 shares, and 264 reactions, and the numbers continue to rise. All I can say is, Wow!
We’ve now added it to YouTube. In the event that you’ve not yet seen it, or if you just want to watch it again, here you go! Let me know in the comments what you think.
CONGRATS SHARON !!!!
