A Match Made at Christmas blog tour

Welcome to the Blog Tour for A Match Made at Christmas by Amy R. Anguish, Sarah Anne Crouch, Lori DeJong, and Heather Greer, hosted by JustRead Publicity Tours!

I’m not one to rush Christmas. I wait until after Thanksgiving to decorate. I limit the Christmas carols until December. I wait to deck out in Christmas attire until mid-December. But Christmas books? Well, that’s different. I try to pack as much holiday reading as I can, which means I start early and end late.

If you share my love of feel-good Christmas stories, you’ll want to check out A Match Made at Christmas, a novella collection.

Book Review

I was particularly excited to check out this novella collection because I got to meet Heather Greer last month at the Kentucky Christian Writers Conference. I scheduled a one-on-one session with her and was so impressed when she began our time together with a prayer. I’ve had many meetings with publishing individuals, but never before has anyone opened our time together by praying for me.

We’re told not to judge a book by its cover, but with such an adorable cover, how can you not want to check it out? Don’t you love the cover?

I loved that each of the stories in A Match Made at Christmas are short and sweet. They can be read in a single sitting, and each story stands on its own. Each of the stories has such sweet characters finding love in unexpected and fun ways.

The theme of A Match Made at Christmas is matchmaking. We have a little boy, a sister, the Jingle Bell Committee, and the Christmas Wonderland employees. They’re all doing their part–however outrageously–to bring happily ever after to those they love. Of course, it helps to have a little Christmas magic.

One thing special about Christmas books is how over-the-top they can be and still work. With the state of airlines nowadays, I’m not sure how anyone could fly across the country as easily as the couple does in A-Parent-Ly Christmas, but it sure was fun reading their adventure.

If you’re looking for a Christmas read to get you in the mood, definitely check out A Match Made at Christmas.

About the Book

A Match Made at Christmas

Title: A Match Made at Christmas
Author: Amy R. Anguish, Sarah Anne Crouch, Lori DeJong, and Heather Greer
Publisher: Scrivenings Press
Release Date: October 1, 2024
Genre: Contemporary Christian Romance Novella Collection

A-parent-ly Christmas (by Amy R Anguish)

Noel and Joy Davidson didn’t mean to separate, but a job promotion and educational opportunities were too much for their marriage to withstand. Now, it’s Christmas and their son Andy wants them together. Between his mischief, an unexpected snowstorm, and the holiday spirit, they’re remembering why they first wanted to be together. But which one will give up their dream for the other?

A Match of her Own (by Sarah Anne Crouch)

Victoria Wood is torn between elation and devastation now that her sister is married and gone. When she realizes her sister’s best friend is alone and best-friend-less on Christmas, she knows just what to do. Set her up with a boyfriend! But pesky Jared Knight keeps getting in the way. Jared can’t date Victoria—she’s too immature—but he can’t convince his heart to move on. How will he keep Victoria from ruining everyone’s love lives? When will she realize her perfect match is closer than she thinks?

Jingle Bell Matchmakers (by Lori DeJong)

When country music star Aubrey Mayfield is lured home after years away, she’s bewildered when she and ex-fiance-now-widowed-dad Cody Lansdale keep finding themselves in the same place at the same time. As they become reacquainted, however, old feelings stir. Aubrey’s at a crossroads in her career and is contemplating a change. But when a chance at headlining her own tour takes her back to Nashville, Cody realizes her dreams may once again come between them. Unless God, with a little help from the Jingle Bell Committee, has a better plan.

The Santa Setup (by Heather Greer)

Turning friendship into love takes magic. Good thing Nicholas Eckert and Julie Clarke work at Christmas Wonderland. The attraction brims with holiday magic, not to mention four teenage elves determined that Mr. and Mrs. Claus stop playing a couple and become one. The teens will need more than mistletoe to pair up these two. Julie is seeing someone, and Nick won’t risk their friendship for possible love. Only the elven employees’ outrageous antics stand a chance of setting up Santa in time for Christmas.

Dating and Romance in the Bible

Though the Bible times doesn’t talk directly about dating, it does include plenty of examples of couples meeting and falling in love. Some, like Jacob and Rachel meeting at the local watering hole, are pretty timeless. Others, like Ruth approaching Boaz, are different. Yet, despite the differences in customs, falling in love is timeless.
