I know so many people who are obsessed with the Amish and their way of life. Personally, I’m somewhat ambivalent. However, I do love a good love story, especially when a girl has to decide between the small town life she grew up in or the big city life she now lives in. Throw in a city boy and a country boy, and you’ve got all the makings of a good love triangle.
Follow Your Heart Movie Review
Follow Your Heart movie is an Amish story with a small town/big city life storyline twist. Kathy Yoder, a NY Times bestselling travel writer returns to her Amish home to settle her father’s affairs. While there, she’s reacquainted with her childhood sweetheart, Amish poet Isaac Mast. She’s torn between rejoining the Amish community or traveling around the world with Jack, her city boyfriend. Even though the choice was pretty obvious, the ending still included a nice twist that satisfied.
The acting and the casting for this movie were well done.I was especially impressed with the young actress playing Sarah. I liked that even the antagonists had soft spots. And the cinematography was beautiful. The locations made me want to travel there to visit.
If you’re looking for a sweet movie, well done, fun, but not cheesy, then be sure to check it out.
