She Reads Truth Notetaking Bible

It’s been awhile since I reviewed a Bible. After several years of reviewing Bibles, they start to blend together. But this one is different.

The She Reads Truth Spiral-Bound Notetaking Bible is not your usual Bible. For one thing, it’s spiral bound. And it’s big–8 1/2 x 11 inches big. It feels more like a workbook than a Bible.

Because of its size and the layout, it’s broken up into five editions. One for New Testament, and four different ones to cover the Old Testament. I have the New Testament.

So what is it about this Bible that sets it apart?

Bible Features

  • Hardcover, spiral bound
  • CSV version
  • Beautifully illustrated key verses at the beginning of each book
  • Background introductions to each book
  • Outlines of each book
  • Wide margins for journaling, notes & prayers
  • Daily reading logs for accountability
  • Additional study helps like timelines, maps, and charts

Bible Review

When I first opened the She Reads Truth Spiral-Bound Notetaking Bible, I was totally thrown by the size. I wasn’t expecting it to be so big. It seemed daunting. I certainly couldn’t imagine carrying it around to church or Bible study. Then I realized, that’s not the purpose. This is a Bible for personal study.

Once I began exploring the Bible, I began to see how it’s designed for Bible students. The large size, hardback cover, the spiral binding, and the large, lined margins make it perfect for studying at home and writing your notes.

I also like the supplemental features at the beginning of each book. The introductions include notes on the time period, background information, the purpose of the book, and what makes it special.

Then, each book has an illustration. For some books, it’s a map. LIke Mark has a map of the Roman Empire in Jesus’s time. Others have timelines. John has a timeline of Jesus’s final hours.

Finally, each book has an outline of key points.

I think these supplemental items make the book worthwhile on their own. They’re unique and helpful.

One thing I will note is that this is not really a study Bible on its own. The scripture pages have minimal footnotes, and they’re mostly notes about word origin or interpretation. I feel this is best to use alongside whatever Bible study materials you’re already using, to add an extra layer to your study

I think the She Reads Truth Spiral-Bound Notetaking Bible is the perfect Bible for anyone who is looking for a way to keep their Bible study organized. The margins provide maximum room for notes, so you don’t have to squeeze notes into a tiny space and then later try to decipher what you wrote.

I’m pretty sure that writing in this Bible will make you feel more confident in your studies. Something about the layout just makes you feel more studious and organized.

This would make a great gift for your favorite Bible teacher or Bible student.
