Before you know it, Christmas will be here. The upcoming weeks will be filled with decorating, shopping, cooking, planning, and partying. In the midst of the hustle and bustle, it’s easy to lose sight of why we celebrate Christmas. With that in mind, Matthew West with Matt Litton has written a concise little book called Come Home For Christmas that will help guide you back to the true meaning of Christmas.

Come Home For Christmas is a mix of Christmas memories and biblical foundations that remind of why we have Christmas, why we celebrate, and how to celebrate with Christ at the center. It’s written in a personable style that’s easy to read with short chapters. The chapters include: Come Home to Wonder, Come Home to Joy, Come Home to Healing, Come Home to Peace, Come Home to Compassion, Come Home to Forgiveness, Come Home to the Manger, and Come Home to the Promise. It concludes with a few of Matthew West’s favorite Christmas recipes.
Though it’s not marketed as a devotional, it would work well to do daily readings leading up to Christmas. It also lends itself to family discussions.
This is a great gift book appropriate for anyone on your Christmas list. It’s a nice hardback with a pretty cover that’s sure to please.
