I have many Bibles – traditional and modern translations, study Bibles, devotional Bibles, and women’s Bibles. Each one is different. The Day-by-Day Chronological Bible is perhaps the best version I’ve seen for filmmakers.

chronological bibleObviously, from the name, I knew that the Bible would be arranged in chronological order, which I’ve always liked. What I wasn’t expecting is the way it’s broken down as a study Bible with weekly lessons and daily assignments. And the way it’s divided up into acts and scenes, just like a good screenplay. Literally, the entire Bible is broken down into three acts with three to nine scenes in each act. The lessons point out the main characters, the themes, and the highlights of each of the acts and scenes. It’s such a unique way to approach Bible study and very user-friendly.

As a final note, the cover is beautiful brown leather and the paged are gold edged. The inside features grey study blocks and turquoise daily assignments.

I’m really enjoying this Bible and look forward to using it to help put all the biblical stories and history into proper perspective.

This is a brand new Bible releasing this month. Lifeway also offers a paperback version. Both versions are on sale right now. You can order a copy at the Lifeway website.

I have an extra Day-by-Day Chronological Bible to give away. If you’d like to win one, comment below with your favorite translation (this one is Christian Standard Bible). A winner will be chosen at random on Friday, January 25, 2019.
I’m thankful to LEV3L Digital and Lifeway for providing a review copy in exchange for an honest review. Opinions expressed are my own.

I live the NIV but also read the Reina-Valera (in Spanish language). Chronological sounds amazing and I can benefit from it greatly.

  2. Sharon that’s so sweet of you to give away that Bible. Continued blessings!
